Our climate in the UK is an ideal environment for moss and algae to grow which if left unchecked can cause damage to the roof. Moss is extremely absorbent and acts like a sponge which expands when it freezes causing tiles and cement to crack causing dampness.
With a dirty roof, you're also not able to see if there is any damage to the tiles which can create moisture and rot underneath, causing damage to the battens and joists below, leading to much more expensive repairs.

We treat all roofs after the clean, with a high strength Biocide. This prevents regrowth from forming so quickly, leaving your roof clean for years to come.
Step 1 | Suitability and pricing
Get in contact and we will carry out an initial assessment to check if your roof is suitable. This is done either by visiting the property or by supplying us with images to review. Some roofs aren't suitable or are too far gone meaning a clean will be of no benefit. We will be honest if the process is worthwhile and viable, If the roof is suitable, we will then provide you with a quote to consider.
Step 2 | The Clean
If you choose to go ahead we will arrange a suitable day to come along and carry out the clean. We will erect access towers to provide us with the access to to the roof.
We use a low-pressure, low-flow machine to power a rotary head cleaner connected to carbon fibre poles. This gives us access across the roof from the platforms, meaning we do not have to step on the roof.
Step 3 | Biocidal Chemical Treatment
After cleaning we apply a high strength biocide to kill off any remaining algae or moss and act as a re-growth inhibitor which extends the life of the clean. You will see your roof visually get better over the coming months as this treatment to continues to work. This is an important step that if not carried out causes regrowth to come back in a matter of months. Depending on your surroundings, your roof should not see any regrowth for many years. We can then simply in the future, if desired, just apply the biocide again to prolong it further which costs less than a full clean.
Step 4
Your gutters are completely cleared and a full clean-down of the property is carried out. We can also quote to clean any patios, driveways, stone work etc at a discounted rate, as we are already in attendance with the machinery, to really improve the look and value of your property,
Step 5
Although rare to find any issues we will assess the roof after the clean and provide hi-resolution images of any issues we feel you should address or keep an eye on for the future.
